| It almost seems like I have a life today! After another trip to the pediatrician scored an anti-biotic for kid2 since she might have walking pneumonia. Or a virus, whatever. We are meeting up with 2 other couples and going out to a b-b-q place for dinner then coming back here to watch Children of Men, my netflix rental. Pretty low key but at least we are doing something. | |

| My big night consists of pizza and the downloaded Survivor that we missed yesterday to watch Lost. I hope I can handle the excitement. | |

| My evening consists of ordering pizza, and playing poker online. I'm too fucking tired to go out and play with actual people. It's been a rough week. | |

| Our b-b-q place turned out to be a mostly carryout hole-in-the-mini-shopping-center place so we brought carryout back here. Children of Men is a bleak, grim fucking movie, lol. Everyone has gone home to bed. Ah, well, this is what happens when we try something new. | |

| Survivor was so thrilling that I fell asleep before the end. | |

| Lost was pretty good, though, huh? Not as good as the other episodes this season but still pretty damn good. I'd forgotten all about the psychic's warming to Claire that she had to be the one to raise her baby. | |

| I didn't care for it cuz I couldn't buy into the situation being plausible for the premise. I made a more detailed critique at the james gang board if anyone cares to read or discuss it. | |

| I think I counted 2467 people being shot or blown up in that movie. Extrapolating that out, for 2 hours, with one baby born in that time period, the human race will be extinct in 4 years. That's assuming that all other countries were doing the same thing, and that no alien race comes down from the sky to stop the carnage, and that enough people remained in the factories making weapons and ammo to keep doing what they were doing, and also that no viral infection sweeps the land. Of course, if any of those things happened, I would have to recalculate the exticntion time frame, and incorporate other factors into the equation....mainly are the aliens friendly, or just want to take over....can humans develop resistance to bullets thru the viral epidemic, and will KFC and Taco bell remain viable corporations to feed the hungry masses. It gets very convoluted if I have to throw any other factors in, but this is a pretty good estimate. | |
