First day of the last month before a new year. Where has all that time gone? And more importantly, how long will it be before I get my tight muscular thighs and buttocks back?

It's December, and I can still wear shorts outside... how sad is that. I blame it on global warming, even though it may be imaginary.

Global warming is real, only it's not manmade. It's a natural phenomenon.....the earth has gone through thousands of these cycles.

Ahhhhhh.......human again! Took my shower, shaved, brushed, combed. I'm ready to face the world again. Sadly, my scale has told me that I've lost ground, not a pound.....193.5 this am, as opposed to 193 last night. But, as the old chief in the movie Josey Wales liked to say...."I shall endeavor to persevere." We do have our son's birthday tonight.....Dairy Queen frozen ice cream cake, along with his mom's homemade chili.....his two favorite things.....so I suppose I may be endeavoring on the wrong side of the law, but I predict by Christmas, I will be at 182.....even if I have to cut a nut off to do it!

I don't think we can know how much if any man is contributing to global warming but I do know we aren't doing the earth any favors the way we are polluting it and ourselves.

I upgraded to platinum a few years back....that way, they don't tarnish.

Hellooooo. I am not yet showered but I'm working that way. I've been dusting getting ready for the xmas decorations and bagging up more donation stuff. I wanted to get in the attic before I showered but Rob is on a leaf eradication mission and I'll need his help. Or more correctly he will need my help, lol.

In the old days, when I used to cut my own grass, I would take the powermower and just run back over and over them, chopping them up into basically a mulch. Raking and bagging is just too cumbersome.

We can use the mower with the bag when it's a few leaves but our kind of grass won't take much mulch. This time of year there are just too many leaves for the mower to handle. It's easier to blow and/or rake than empty that bag every few feet.

We compost or burn all the yard stuff, tho, instead of bagging it and sending it to the landfill.

And when I say we, I mean Rob of course. He enjoys the yard work. Me, not so much.

If I had to choose, I would be hard-pressed to make a choice between yard work or a root canal....I've never had a root canal, but hating yard work like I do, I might have to choose the root canal.

Spoken like someone who has never had a cavity. Not that I've had a root canal either but I've never heard anything good about them.

So, the baby shower is over. My nephew knocked up his gf and my sister is going to be a grandmother. My niece is also preggers so my sister is going to be a double granny. Time sure keeps marching along dragging me with it, dammit.

You know the website idea is not a bad one. I saw a news segment on old retired people making a living a home with websites. The goal is to make one about something you like that a lot of people are interested in so you get a lot of traffic, have the google ads and every time someone clicks on an ad on your site you get paid.

It involved writing a lot to keep it current and have alot of content for readers. You want to make it to the top 10 google search results for your topic.

Anyhoo, these old coots were very successful at it.
