I've got nothing - which is apropos for this place - but I can't stand not seeing one new post when I log in here.

I ended up going out last night even though I felt like total crap. We had free passes (again) to a radio station hosted party at a local tavern for a dance band that I did not want to see or hear. They did put us in a back room so at least I didn't have to see them, and there was free beer and hors d'oeuvres which would have been a lot cooler if I liked beer more and wasn't suffering from tummy troubles. A couple we're friends with showed up unexpectedly and he always tries to make me laugh, so I did enjoy a moment or two.

That doesn't sound like nothing, that sounds like a lot of something. And it was nice to have a new post here so I'll return the favor with my near nothing.

I was forced to get out of the house yesterday, too. My nephew got married to his long time live with, mother of his child girlfriend. It was a fairly short ceremony with the reception in the same community center. I spend most of the time sampling the buffet table fare. After about two hours of ear splitting music from the DJ my head was throbbing. Heavens, I'm a stodgy old grouch.

Who's not grouchy when they're forced to be somewhere they don't want to be and there's nothing they want to do there? I doubt that you were downright bitchy to people.

I won 270. The "bad beat" jackpot went out on the table beside me......78, 310. That sucked.

Yeah, but at least you were on the winning side.

Yeh, you're right......you can never go broke by making a profit.
