I have spent all morning at Home Depot (my Hell) loading wood - and I smushed a finger under a 2x8x10 (not too bad, just sore). It was so much Rob is going back for a second load of stuff - which means we had to unload the first bunch already. We will then have to reload everything onto the trailor so the tractor can pull it around back. And then unload it again. suspicious

Those 6x6x8 posts are quite heavy but we only had 4. The 2x8x10's aren't as bad but we had 40 of them - after about 30 they start getting heavier, too. And that's not all - we had 3 of those big, flat carts loaded down with lumber...plus a buggy full of hardware (post/joist brackets and such).

Day 1 of the project is half over. To be continued...

You need to find you a couple of "undocumented immigrants" to do that kind of stuff. You're much too delicate to be going around and smashing those precious fingers on rough wood!

you should have unloaded it straight to the trailer then.

The trailor has to be empty to switch it from the truck to the tractor because the lumber is so long the trailer front pops up when it's unhooked. The truck won't go into the back yard since we put in the dry creekbed so the tractor (which is a glorified riding lawn mower imo) has to haul the trailor around back.

Believe me, it was an unforeseen complication - if we'd known we prolly could have gotten all the material in the truck.

And delicate? Lol, I'm a pretty sturdy girl - I've even got my own leather work gloves.

Well, I'm here... for a little while at least. I slept in a little and then went grocery shopping. I've got a shitload of laundry since I've got to wash all the suit jackets I wore this week.

I had to run the turkey daughter1 got from work over to my parent's since I couldn't fit any of the frozen food I just bought into the freezer, and pick up her crock pot since the one I have doesn't hold enough for Thanksgiving dinner.

And now I plan to laze around between laundry loads. blue grin

Good luck... I think Krotar may have this one.

I went downstairs to throw the latest washer load into the dryer and found a pile of cat puke on my blanket down there. Add another load of wash. rant

I took a nap. Had the weordest dream I've had in a looooong time.

...I feel weak like I wasn't breathing properly. but maybe I was just in too deep of a sleep for a nap. I dunno.

the part at the beginning I don't even wanna talk about as I always get tumbleweeds when I say anything about that stuff. but the later part I went to lay down cuz I was depressed, but the phone kept ringing and wouldn't stop and I kept pulling at the covers and they just seemed never ending. I could see the light where the cover stopped but it was always just out of my reach.... I kept pulling and pulling and pulling.... then for some reason I was holding two lit candles that wouldn't go out.... so i'm fightng the covers that won't come off to get rid of candles that won't quit burning to answer the phone that won't quit ringing..... seemed everlasting............. fuck.

not really. I like that stuff in real life because then I'm in control. take away my sense of control and I don't like it.

The only kind of recurring dream I've had that freaks me out is when something is chasing me and I can't run - like I can only go in slow motion or something. I don't have it often but I've had it since I was a kid.

Yeah, I didn't think it was recurring but your description of not being in control made me think of the running dreams. It's not like I'm too scared to run it's like I'm physically incapable of running - where ever from what ever - like I'm being held back by invisible bonds or my muscles won't respond or I just plain don't get anywhere no matter how hard I try...and that brings on the terror.

The only other kind of dreams I have that terrify me, and thankfully I've only had a few, are ones where my kids are dying some horrible death and I'm unable to save them. Those are hard to shake even after I wake up.

most of my dreams are hard to shake if I remember them. regardless of the emotion I feel when I wake up.

Most of my dreams are pleasant, very pleasant. More rarely they are intricate dramas that play out like I'm a character of a great book - still very enjoyable like a mystery. I have nightmare's so infrequently I can't even say - only that I have had them.

I always remember my dreams at least in part when I wake up but they slip away. I can hold on to the exceptionally good parts, tho, if they are steamy enough, lol.
