Monday 11-12-07

I guess I'll go ahead and start this now, so everyone gets a chance (read: fulfills their obligation) to post.

I have to go to the jewelers and have my watch battery replaced today and try to think of anything else I want to do before I'm chained to my new job. From now on most of my free time will be on the weekends and it won't really be free since I won't be alone. That's what I'm going to miss.

On the plus side, I won't feel like such a lazy slug.

I was thinking that, you know, you got the job I wanted. Two minutes from home, a lot of down time with internet and big pay wasn't an issue. And I don't smoke. If only we could have traded.

Have you tried posting a complaint on the official board? I know they'll just delete it but if enough of you try the word will get out.

I got my watch battery replaced and while I was out, I figured I'd stop by Target to get some of the Jones Carbonated Candy I like to have in my purse - since there will be no smoke breaks at this new job.

Anyway, I saw a pair of pants I wanted to try on - ick, they didn't fit... but as I put them in the basket on my way out a very cool suit was laying there and I just had to try it on. Great fit and it was on sale too. Then across the street to K-Mart to get a sweater to go with it - but another blazer caught my eye and it fit and was on sale, so I had to buy it too.

Someone is going to be very pissed that I spent all that money on clothes... but, dayem, I had nothing to wear and everything I got was on sale. I just want to add here that I hate shopping and rarely buy clothes, but he will still be pissed off. Tough.

Clothes are to a woman like premier golf clubs are to a man. The man who doesn't want his woman dressed well and looking good....well, I agree....Tough!

I'm a bit nervous about starting the new job tomorrow. That's normal, isn't it?

It's normal for me. Being anywhere new with new people makes me nervous.

But they wanted you so I bet by the end of the day - even the half day - you'll be much more comfortable.

I have been trying to fill out an insurance application online. Since this new job doesn't have any and the insurance premium from my last job goes up to over $1100 a month this month, I am trying to get more affordable coverage. It's a horrible nightmare and I hope I've chosen the best plan for me... and that they'll approve it.

Cobra premiums are off the charts exorbitant.

I was just reading an article about health ins reform saying that the republicans are the ones who are actually proposing a more radical change by moving away from the employer based system we have atm. It was by that cute little Indian guy I see on the news shows sometimes...can't think of his name.
