Wow! I'm not here and no one started today's blaaaaaaaaaaahg thread?

Today I got a call from the real estate office and guess who is their newest employee....

I finally got a job! I start on Tuesday at 1. It doesn't pay much, but I can't really afford to be picky.

Anyway, I had to do a little shopping today so I have something decent to wear. I actually found a suit for $25.

Well, that's about it for me.

OMG, that is GREAT news, bammie. It's been over a year, hasn't it. I know you must be happy and relieved. Even if the money isn't great to start out with maybe it will increase sooner rather than later - once you show 'em all your skilz.

I feel sad for me, tho, if it means you are going to be around online even less. I might cry. Except I truly am very happy for you!

Thanks! I don't think I'll be around less than I have lately, but the hours might be a bit different. They do have an internet connection and the woman I'm replacing said that sometimes it's very slow, so you might see me around during the day.

And, yes, it's been over a year, so I am quite relieved. I was getting a complex about no one wanting me.

They did the walk thru on our house today and we had to stroke the big check. They are coming back after Rob gets the patio/deck built to finish it off but it will just be labor since they have enough material left over. We've got to paint the front porch and door now - the off-white looks really bad next to the white white. But other than that it looks pretty good.

It would be damned hard to be here less than you have been unless you just stop coming completely. That's good news about the slow times and having internet, tho - gives me hope!

Well, I won't be able to sleep all day...

How's the walking around the office? You said it's really close to where you live so I was thinking you could even walk home for lunch - except that walking isn't so great around your house.

It's certainly close enough - maybe not for lunch - to walk from home, but unfortunately there are hardly any sidewalks and there is a bit of construction going on so it's not something I will do.
