Ooooo... Happy Halloween!!

Halloween should be a real holiday so we get school/work off. I'm too busy to actually do anything. I bet I won't even get any candy... Actually, Kro and I are going shopping tonight, and we're going to pick up the stuff to make s'mores.

i'm surprised the post office doesn't claim it. they claim everything else.

Heh, it should be made into a federal holiday.

It would prolly take away from the spirit of the day but while we're making it a holiday why not just pin it to the weekend - the last Sat in October.

It might defeat the purpose of getting a day off school/work but not many would get if off anyway. Ok, the post office would but still. I'd rather have it on the weekend every time. There would be even more parties!

I've never been to a single halloween party in my life. I always went trick-or-treating instead. lol, I even went my junior year in high school as a jedi... lmao. It was a custom costume so it looked pretty good. I went with another friend who was also a jedi. We got the strangest looks from the parents handing out the treats. It was great.

The highschool band had a halloween night which was like a party. We'd wear costumes to the football game and march in the costumes. You should have seen the marching toilet. The ninja turtles were pretty good too. A group of 4 of us decided to all be jedi, so we made our costumes out of whatever, and bought some lightsabers from walmart. Halloween football games were always a blast.

I passed by a biker funeral today. Actually we passed each other on the road - they were all in route to the cemetary I suppose. Lots of tatooed men on Harleys with their lights on following a hearse and limo.

I despise it when holidays are changed for convenience. When I was young, if halloween was on a wednesday, you trick or treated on wednesday. in the rain, in the snow, whatever. it is what it is. Not to mention it is a pagan holiday. It begins the pagan new year. I despise the audacity of america to change history for public convenience. christmas should be in the summer. but we changed that too. but not halloween by god. if they change that, I would still send my kids, if i had any, out on oct. 31. and anybody who says "Oh we gave our candy out saturday", they get egged and tee-pee'd. The Morbid one has spoken.

Good post PD......I believe Cinco De Maya should be celebrated in March, and the Fourth of July should be in September, right after Labor Day.

I feel kinda sick.

Whew! Just took the 30 minute walk home cause I didn't want to wait on the bus. Made it safely. I'm kinda scared to walk through one of the neighborhoods when it gets dark, but I'd rather walk than wait around on the bus and be bored.

Can you believe my kid2 doesn't like M&Ms?! I almost disowned her for that. But then I realized I get all her M&Ms so it's all good.

I think she's trying to fool you. I bet she's a closet M&M imbiber. You gotta set a trap and catch her, so she can come out and not feel guilty.

You know I had bam here today. Yes, right here...talking to her in chat even. And my fucking computer shut down - the power flashed off I think. And when I got it back up the internet was down.

But she was here.

Speaking of computer problems my new wireless mouse stopped working today. Turns out I had to replace the batteries in it - and it hasn't been a month. Both the keyboard and mouse have batteries so now I'm wondering how long before the keyboard goes out. The wireless thing is nice but if they're going to be eating batteries it hardly seems worth it.

I've had wireless keyboard and mouse for about a year now. Replaced the batts in the mouse once, and the keyboard none.....but then, I'm sure you use your computer way more than I do.

The bad thing about this? I called my son over to fix my mouse a few months ago......I didn't know it took batteries.....sigh!

It took me a while to figure it out myself. The light on it was still working, too.
