I'm voting democrat. I don't care who it is. It will be a long time before I ever consider voting for a republican. look at our last 2 reps. Bush and Bush. Its really no wonder the world fuckin' hates us.

Dubya isn't a true conservative. All this anti-abortion, anti-gay, anti-evolution crap that has come to represent Republicans isn't at all what the party is supposed to represent. They are supposed to be for less federal government intervention into people's personal lives - either for rights or for financial support.

True conservatism would never work in todays world, just as true socialism would never work. There needs to be a blend of the two systems, and therein lies the problem.

well things change. now being a republican is about greed, power, and propaganda. I sometimes wonder if Alex P. Keaton would still be a republican.

I think the main problem lies in the pattern of hate politics between the two main parties. If we had some REAL bi-partisan efforts to legislate and lead I think people (even politicians) would cross party lines for certain issues.

Most of the time it seems like a game of one-up-man-ship where party is put above country - just petty nonsense. And I mean both parties tho the Reps are just better at it - they aren't as diverse as the Dems and so it's easier to herd them. The Dems can't seem to organize a trip to the bathroom.

So I spent the last two nights in a sleeping bag on a camp mattress on the floor in a large room with 10 girls and 10 moms. I am ready for a shower without flip flops and my own bed and pillow.

Here are my current choices.....1st. Ron Paul....2nd Mike Huckabee....3rd Fred Thompson.......the rest I just consider elected bureacrats. And you're right....both parties are engaged in so much partisanship that it's pathetic. They do what's best for themselves or their party, and screw the people and the country. I am sooooo disappointed in our government right now.
