If I lived alone I would weigh 300 pounds. I spent the week without the fam pigging out on junk food and slacking off on the exercise until I wasn't doing any. Sheesh. And I've got to put on a bathing suit tomorrow. I'm joining some friends who've been camping this week and are renting a pontoon boat for the day on Sat. I'm looking forward to it tho it's hot as blue blazes here.

Watched Hellboy II last night - it's my kind of movie so of course I liked it. Hey, that's an idea - I could go to the movies today and see any damn thing I want. The Hangover maybe? Hmmmmm, I'll prolly be too lazy to make the effort.

I bought some lawn bug stuff last summer that you hook up to the hose but never got around to using it until this morning. I did the same thing with Miracle Gro on the the front and back yesterday but the bug stuff was supposed to be put on when the temp is less than 75 - like in the middle of the night here I guess. So I got up (relatively) early and sprayed it in the back. I'm hoping to see a decrease in the mosquitos post haste. If the year old stuff is any good.

Remember when the trucks would spray DEET all up and down the streets while we played outside breathing it all in?

I had to give the yard work a break. It's 91 but feels like 98 according to weather.com. And an ant bit me under my chin.

I wonder if bbmom's party is tonight. Hope you're having fun!

I leave Sunday for Rose's neck of the woods. My son and daughter finally talked me into going "gold panning" with them. I'll prob wind up spending a 1000 bucks to sift 12 bucks worth of gold from a slimy mountain stream......but hey.....it's for "fathers day",,,,,,Coker Creek, Tn....where the gold rush of the 1830's started, just across the GA border. Might make a run down to Dahlonega.....or if I can find one, an Indian Casino.

There's gold in them thar hills! Hope you strike it rich for Father's Day but I won't be holding my breath, lol. We "panned" for gem stones at some mine in the GA hills way back when. They gave us a 5 gal bucket of rocks from the mine and we got to wash them.

That would be the good way to do it.....we're actually going to get wet in the stream, and battle the snakes and crawfish. Actually, this is probably going to be a major clusterfuck. It started out with my son and I...we talked about it back in March, and decided to do this. Then, my daughter decided she wanted to go....ok....I couldn't refuse my daughter anything, especially if it entails spending time with me. Then, my son's gf decided she wanted to go also, since Angela would be going.....ok.....that's my son's future wife, my future daughter in law, and she's a sweet girl. Then, last week, my son informed me that she also wanted to go to Gatlinburg.....a MAJOR deviation from our original plans.....so they would be driving too. I was gonna rent a van to haul us all down there, so I decided that since just my daughter and I woulkd be riding together....no sense in outlaying 400 bucks for a week of a van. Then, I found out my future daughter in law didn't want to drive her car down there, so they would be going with us.....yesterday, I found out, they couldn't find anyone to watch the dogs (2)....so they would also have to come. Now I can't get a van. I now envision a trip down there looking like the Joad family in the Grapes of Wrath. I'm just thankful I'm not driving down to Tampa Bay!

That's a lot of family togetherness....but I bet it makes for a memorable trip and you'll all feel closer for it. Have fun!

The party was Saturday night. I am soooooooooooooooooooo glad it's over. Everyone had a blast and I behaved myself.......I was the perfect hostess. Sam received almost $1500.00 in $.

I actually was alone in my house for 4 hours a week ago last Saturday. The girls both had to work and t.o.m. went to a swap meet. It's been a couple of years since that's happened. I'm not even sure why I enjoyed it so much. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary.

Bammie! I was beginning to wonder about you. I used to think I liked being alone but now I know that I just like to be left alone, lol.

Baldar hasn't surfaced since the father's day trip....hope no one went postal; or perhaps he took a leaf out of the SC governor's book.

That's a huge haul, indeed! I did behave myself, really. I would have a cocktail then a bottle of water, cocktail, bottle of water, etc. I didn't get too buzzo'd and wasn't hungover. Randy (baseballdad), his friends and my girlfriends were in the pool 'til 3am.... Bunch of drunks! All the highschool kids were gone to some underage drinking party by then and I was in the house cleaning all by my little lonesome.

I am so glad that I'm done with the open houses... and the way things are going, it looks like I won't ever have to plan a wedding either. lol

On the bright side, if you could gain enough to BE the pontoon boat and save your friends the rental fee, it would be a win/win situation for everyone!

No, but I used to go by "Hugh Mannity" when I had a show on FOX news with Alan Colmes for a while. I had to change names after all those "manatee" jokes though. (See? I can sympathize with being the subject of cruel obesity taunts!)
