| Katie is home sick today. It's just a cold though and so we are studying the review info on the regions of Georgia for her Social Studies test she is missing. She is having a lot of trouble academically in school. We've emailed for a parent-teacher conference to discuss our concerns. *sigh* | |

She is having a lot of trouble academically in school. We've emailed for a parent-teacher conference to discuss our concerns. *sigh* That's too bad. I hope Katie feels better soon. Winter colds are such a bitch. My son Samuel has a cold, but I didn't let him stay home. | |

| Actually I let her stay home more because of the tests she had but didn't know about than the cold. The cold was the excuse. I think I am about to have to take 3rd grade again. I know after today I could pass a test on the 6 geographical regions of Georgia. | |

| my parents bought the "I'm sick" excuse a lot. but if they found out I had a test, they made me go. at least until high school when I would flip the light off and go back to bed. lol | |

| I know it sounds bad on my part. But we are coming to grips with the fact that Katie has learning disabilites and we need the special ed program to re-intervene and update her IEP. Complete mainstreaming in regular ed does not seem to be working. | |

| I understand. you let her because you are trying to help. my parents simply gave up after I thoroughly wore them down. I didn't have learning disabilities, just social problems. | |

| Yeah, I hope it helps. She doesn't have the social problems - except maybe she is a little too social. | |

| yeah I felt like having a panic attack every day of my life while in school. It was a constant struggle to maintain my cold isolated appearance when I wanted to run screaming. I really hated my peers. at every school. | |

| I was in the same school with the same kids for 11 years. No hate just isolation. | |

| I'm at work and it's our busy season, so I can never stay on for very long without a client walking in or calling. | |

| You didn't run me off, but I only have 30 minutes for lunch and 10 of those are taken up going to and from. I usually wolf down something quick and today I almost choked because I was eating so fast. Then I have to fit in a couple of smokes cuz I'm jonsing after 4 hours of not smoking. It doesn't leave a lot of extra time. | |

| I don't want excuses I want posts. My dryer died this weekend. I am getting a new one delivered tomorrow. We had a new motor put in the old one last year after failing to keep the vent thingy cleared. So it started taking longer to dry and I asked Rob to pull it out and clean out the hose - don't want to make the same mistake twice, right? As he pulled it out some live wire touched some metal and POW! another trip to Home Depot. But alas it could not be repaired. Thing is, I really needed to do laundry Sat when the thing messed up before I could dry the 1st load. Now 4 days later the laundry is unbelievable. | |

| Doing laundry is the most unappreciated job of all, and everyone seems to take for granted that the washer and dryer will work whenever. It's total suckage when you can't keep up with it. Poor Sass. | |

| I take the washer & dryer for granted. Coin operated laundromats are the most god-forsaken places in the universe. The machines all cost an arm and a leg and will only hold very small loads. Monthly payments on the best washer/dryer combo available would be less than the quarters spent in one trip to a laundromat. But it's people at the laundromats that suck all hope for the future of our civilization out of you. | |

| Once, when I was traveling for UPS, I was away from home for two weeks......and had only been expecting to be gone for one. I had a presentation to make the next day, and getting my stuff ready in the hotel room late that night for the next morning, I laid out the one dress shirt that was still clean.....and promptly spilled a coke all over it. The rest had all been worn and were wadded up in my dirty laundry bag. I found it necessary to use a public washing machine. The first machine I attempted to use just ate my quarters, and basically said "fuck you"! I'm not gonna work. The second one (there were only three) had some kind of purple goo on the bottom of the tub. The third one still had some guys underwear left in it that I was afraid to touch.....I finally just took the shirt back up to my room, held it under the shower for a few minutes to get out the stain, let it dry, and borrowed an iron from housekeeping the next morning to get the wrinkles out. The girl at the desk told me that I could have called down there last night, and that they would have sent someone up to wash and iron it for me. Dumbass me didn't know that. | |
