I am going on a field trip with 3rd graders today to a quarry today.

I always loved Phil Hartman's "Colon Blow" cereal commercial.

Argh! Time's up... I gotta go to work.

The quarry was actually kind of cool. They blasted while we were there. The trucks are awesome - $1 million babies, the tires cost $30,000 each and are HUMONGOUS. Plus the terminator, the crusher and all the conveyor belts criss crossing the joint.

Did you take pictures? I've never been to a quarry.

There's an old abondoned quarry around where I live......It's a great place, especially if you have good company along with you.

I did but the teacher asked me to take them with her camera so I don't "have" any.

Not bad, not bad. I was only in charge of 3 kids and one of them was mine.

It was delicious. You know, this is getting to be a habit with us...spending the evening together.

Good habits are hard to break.

Bad habits are even harder.

Got a letter in the mail today from prudential....my life ins. co......seems one of their employees stole a lot of personal info....including SSN's back acct #s, DOB.....etc etc....so I' just spent the last half hour registering for their status alert that they're having to pay for with Equifax....a credit monitoring bureau, in case anyone tries to use my info.. This identity theft crap is getting ridiculous.....I think I'll start going to a cash and carry system, the way I used to do.

Oh, that credit business sucks. If ever anything gets screwed up it takes an act of Congress to get it corrected. And even then it's an iffy proposition.
