Spring break week is over. Tree cutters are here to trim up the giant tree hanging over my bedroom. I've got a 9 am appt with the vet for Buddy to get his yearly shots. I know they are going to want to cut that new lump from his neck...

Got out of the vet for less than $150....but that was without treating the neck tumor or the gingivitis. So now I can feel guilty for free.

Savannah was a very pleasant city to visit and they cater to the tourist there. Ate too much good food but enjoyed it all.

I met a girl in Vegas once that was named Savannah......she also catered to tourists.

Nah.....I never was one for tourist traps. I was walking back to my room in the Excalibur from the Luxor. We passed.....she said "hi, my name is Savannah.....where you goin'? I told her back to my room. She asked if I would like some company.....I said "yeh, but we'll have to be quiet so we won't wake up my wife." We both laughed, and she said have a good time in Vegas, and continued in opposite directions.

But what if your wife hadn't been there?


Yesterday I was going to complete my tax returns at the office after work and as I was working on them I realized I was still missing some information, so I've got more to do today after work. Indiana has managed to add so many pointless schedules to their return that it rivals the federal returns. I've been doing my own taxes since I was 16, and I still don't really know what I'm doing. It's a crime how complicated they've made it to file. It is the #1 frustration in my life... and that's saying a lot. At least it will all be over tomorrow when I mail them off.

My sister uses TurboTax software and I keep hearing that there are several free online tax calculating programs. We pay a guy. He does Rob and his music friend's "business" taxes at the same time.

I'm too cheap to buy software, and from what I've heard, the free online stuff doesn't help if you've got Schedule Cs to file - plus I'd hate to put my info out there.

My boss bought me TurboTax. When he came in yesterday, he just handed it to me and said look what I got for you. I was so surprised.

I actually had everything right except I didn't know about Schedule L, so he saved me $150. It looks like I'll be making some Turkish baklava this weekend.

Dont forget schedule M....equates to line 63 on the 1040.....It's your 800 credit for "making work pay".....LOL.....they give you a peanut back for all the cashews you've given them.

Yeah, I had already found Schedule M - though I kept having to read the instructions. Making work pay? What the hell kind of name is that? I couldn't believe that was a credit for me.

If I missed something else it's too late. Returns are in the mail and I feel like I can breathe again.
