| I had been anticipating this Joss Whedon show for nearly a year before it finally aired, months after it was originally scheduled to in a Friday night timeslot known for dismal ratings. I liked the show but I will admit it fell short of what I had hoped it would be. I liked the show - I loved the premise and yet I feel like the execution was a bit sloppy. Fox was heavy handed again with Whedon, making him rewrite the pilot and change the tone of the early shows. Who knows if Whedon's original take would have been better or worse but I feel certain the struggle for creative control didn't do the show any favors. That said, more good news: FOX renews 'Dollhouse' for fall '09This show has the potential to be great but season 2 could go either direction. I'm still pulling for it getting better and better. | |
