You could be right.
I was just reading a negative column on it,.....more negative regarding the groups lead singer than the group or the current release.
Basically just panning the whole concept of what they are doing and how he thinks the lead singer of the group is a "suicide waiting to happen".
This guy writing the piece, and probably making decent money doing so, says that when prompted to make his "donation" to download music he took ALOT of joy in punching in $0.00.
WHAT A DOOOOOOSSSH!
And I guess that means you don't even have to pay the penny.
I'd like to think things will balance out and the band will make a decent amount of money, and a nice profit from doing this.
I mean, cutting out the record company must be saving them $$ in more ways than one. Springsteens new CD just sold like a shitload but whats he makin from his work? 20,30 %?
I know no ones gonna pay a billion, but I'd like to think the average music fan would drop three to five bucks for the music.
A buck even...
I hope this does well and changes the way music is marketed.
But then, I'm one of those suckers that still has faith in mankind ;)
